Wow!! I can't believe I haven't posted since September!
Just when you're getting into the swing of things, life really has a great way of coming and knocking you for six! But that's a story for another day.
Little Miss Teacher has resumed blogging and I have an exciting year planned!

Hello to 2016. Happy New Year readers!
I always enjoy the beginning of a new year, making resolutions, breaking resolutions, having a new outlook on everything.....and seeing how  many days you can manage in the staff-room without breaking into a litany of complaints, moans and groans! We'll never change!!

Speaking of change, one of my aims for 2016 is to bring more energy to my maths teaching. With infants, it's hard  not to fall into a samey routine everyday but it's amazing how a few new games / interactive activities can bring new life a topic such as number recognition which can drag on and on and on!!

Every Monday, I've decided Little Miss Teacher will be dedicated to maths....Let's do this!

I posted some visuals on Facebook late last night when I was suffering from Sunday night work fear and couldn't sleep. Below, find some links to songs / sites / activities that I personally find useful!

1. Count to 20
My Juniors LOVE this song. It's great for getting everyone up out of their seats and active whilst practising counting to 20!

2. Interactive Whiteboard Games
It's no secret, I champion TopMarks all the time! They have such a great selection of interactive games for whole class interactive whiteboard work or even independent work on the laptops! There's a variety of games for age groups 3-5, 5-7, 7-11 and 11-14.

3. Maths Playground
Another good site, full of games and sorted by topic!

4. Maths is Fun - speaks for itself!

5. Fun Brain
25 Free maths games

Later lovelies!
