EPIC - Virtual Summer Camps

I'm delighted to team up with EPIC, The Irish Emigration Museum to share the chance to win a FAMILY ticket for their upcoming virtual Summer Camp from August 10th - 14th.

I was invited to attend EPIC's most recent virtual camp for children and I was thoroughly impressed; I even learned lots myself about Ireland's fascinating aviation history. It was facilitated via Zoom and coming from the perspective of a teacher and a parent, I blown away with how engaged the children participating were. Even though it is facilitated through a virtual set up - the interaction was remarkable! The facilitator, Shannon Wilson (who, might I add was excellent), was dressed up to match the theme, an added treat.
To balance the virtual element, participants are invited to carry out some activities to follow on from each daily Zoom. All that is required is some imagination, the willingness to have fun and maybe even a little mess, all from the comfort of their home environment!
The content was perfectly pitched for the age group and the learning ongoing was clearly evident. A big thumbs up from me.

Camp details:
  • Age group: 6-12 years
  • One hour daily Zoom from 1pm - 2.30pm
  • Online support for unsupervised family activities
  • Option of one-day ticket (€5) or five-day ticket (€15)
