Little Miss Teacher Blog

Learning at home

This is a post-in-progess which I'll be adding to as time permits!

With the unusual times that we find ourselves in, this tab has been created to compile materials, resources and ideas for both primary teachers, parents and early childhood practitioners to use as we navigate this challenge time in our lives!

As the saying goes 'Ní neart go cur le chéile' and by working together, we'll get through it!

  • Learning at home - a recent post I published with a few activities to try at home with Juniors - 6th. Nice, informal but purposeful activities!

  • Free Resources to download - 50+ *free* printable resources which may be useful to teacher preparing content or for parents seeing content for their children. Feel free to download and use how you wish!

  • Previous Blog Posts of mine that may be of use to parents working on schoolwork with their children at home:

Word Ladders - Senior Infants - 3rd Class

Word Wipe - Reading game - all ages!

Spellings - activities and ideas to try!

Fuss Free Playdough

Tips for starting school -  useful for parents who have children in preschool and may be worried about their transition to primary school! - I've had some queries already from parents who are concerned with what they should be doing to prepare their little ones for Junior Infants in September in the event they don't get back to preschool.
